HI friend!

Wow. Words cannot express how grateful I am to you for looking to Events Uncorked for inspiration and planning guidance. Throwing a get together in honor of someone’s birthday, graduation, wedding, new baby or any achievement really has always been my way of showing love. (Side note: can planning parties be a love language?) To put it simply, I love celebrating the important people in my life.

But, honestly, it’s always been a struggle. When people know you’re a professional wedding planner, expectations of your party are higher and you start to obsess over every detail. Part of what makes me great at my job is that I handle everyone else’s planning dilemmas so much better than my own. Just ask my husband - I start stressing the minute something goes wrong at home!

Even though I’ve seen just about everything during my time in this industry (seriously - try me!), something like hosting Thanksgiving or a 4th of July BBQ sends me into a downward spiral of to-do lists, overthinking and procrastination. Most of the time I can’t remember the last time I washed my hair and I’m probably on my third cup of coffee for the day. Trying to plan a get together at home, regardless if it’s dinner with friends or a fourth birthday party, can be a lot to manage, especially when juggling an already busy schedule.

That’s why I created Events Uncorked. When I finally started listening to the advice I give my clients and live by with every wedding I plan, entertaining became fun! There was no more question as to if it was all going to get done or if I was pleasing everyone. Following the five principles of entertaining with ease changed my life and now I’m giving you the tools to do the same.

My hope is that our blog and party guides gives you the tools you need to celebrate the important people in your life and have fun while doing it. We’re taking the guess work out of it so all you have to do is party!

Enjoy the planning and be sure to share the celebration with us afterwards by tagging @eventsuncorked on Facebook and Instagram.

Cheers,

Sarah White - Founder, Events Uncorked
